Demand Justice for Eric Garner: January 29 at NY Supreme Court

Press release by

Vernon Eligah Williams

January 23, 2015

To All Those Who Care About Martin Luther King's Ongoing Struggle For Justice For All Americans

I need you to be at the Supreme Court on Staten Island, New York on January 29th at 9am when arguments are heard in the court case to try and get the Eric Garner grand jury transcript released. I need to get many people to be at the Courthouse. This is important for our Nation. The address is 18 Richmond Terrace Staten Island, NY 10301. It is across from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Be there. Please forward to those you know in the New York Area.

I also need you to call the Prosecutor Daniel Donovan and ask that he release the Eric Garner grand jury transcript as well as the names of the police officers who were given immunity. His phone number is (718)876-6300. He is running for Congress and has done all he can to make sure that the Grand Jury Transcript remains sealed.

Also a gag order was placed on the NYCLU and Legal Aid Society that filed the court case. When CNN called they were not allowed to speak with them. Now there has been no national media or press on this important story and court case. The American public does not even know that the court case is happening. This is wrong. Tell them to air the story NOW. CNN, MSNBC, and NPR have been silent as well as the other network's World News shows. Call the comment lines - CNN 212-275-7800 NY, and 404-827-1500 in Atlanta. See email addresses for media: MSNBC is 212-664-4444. Write Amy Goodman Democracy Now at NPR: stories@democracynow.org and Jeffrey Toobin at CNN jeffrey_toobin@newyorker.com. Washington Post's email box is national@waspost.com. It is vital that they cover this story immediately. [I doubt if they will.]

I hope you will be able to join us at the courthouse on January 29th at 9am. Justice For All In America Now. We all saw what happen to Eric Garner. It is time for America to be a better Country. Thank you for your attention.

"I Can't Breathe." - Eric Garner

Alton Maddox, Jr. on WAOK Jan. 22, 2015 about "People vs. Orta"

Press Release by Alton H. Maddox, Jr.

Maddox in Atlanta with "Real Truth and Derrick Boazman"
By Alton H. Maddox, Jr.
("Attorney-at-War")

Derrick Boazman of WAOK-AM will interview Alton Maddox about his plans in "People v. Orta" in Staten Island on January 22, 2015, at 4:15 p.m. EST on WAOK. This is a retaliatory prosecution for Ramsey's videotaping of the chokehold death of Eric Garner. Under the Sixth Amendment and in a transcript, I am his counsel of choice. I am subject to an indefinite suspension whish is contrary to the Fifth Amendment.

"People v. Orta" raises broader questions including but not limited to the right of legal and political representation and the right of descendants of enslaved Africans to enjoy reparations. It also raises the question of whether the Freedom Party is the appropriate delivery system. Currently, Blacks have no legislative agenda. Last night President Barack Obama noted that we are not on his agenda.

Throughout today, Blacks and Latinos should use "311" to express any displeasure under the First Amendment. As many public officials as possible should hear your "pain and suffering." For starters, there is no enabling legislation for the Fifteenth Amendment. Black and Latino selected officials are simply political pawns.

Alton Maddox, Jr. on WAOK Jan. 22, 2015, at 4:15pm about "People v. Orta". Orta is the man who videotaped Eric Garner's death by police choke hold who now faces charges that some believe to be police retaliation. Incidentally, the girlfriend of John Crawford, III, who was shot to death by police in an Ohio Walmart, was killed on January 1 when the car she was riding in suddenly reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour and crashed, killing her driver as well. The sister of 12-year-old Ohio victim Tamir Rice was handcuffed and made to sit in the back of a police car with Rice's killer sitting in front, and Tamir's mother was given the choice of staying with her 14-year-old daughter in police custody or riding in the ambulance with her dying son. The Neal family experiences retaliation for asking what happened to Larry Neal, a mentally, physically disabled Memphis police victim. People sometimes suffer retaliation when they expose and complain about police terrorism in the USA.
